CLUB NME: [ME]

KOKO, Camden High Street, London, UK
9th March 2012
22:00 - 04:00

ME, an alternative rock band from Melbourne, might just have one of the most un-googleable band names ever - they sit somewhere between A and !!!. But this aversion to being searchable only makes the legion of fans they've amassed that much more impressive.

We think it has to do with their pretty special records - debut single, Like A Fox, has been described as mix between The Mars Volta, Radiohead and even Queen. Signed to Lizard King Records, who The Killers and Santigold called home when they started out, their debut album is expected this year.

With DJs Ed Wilder and Alana B Devotion, and ::CHECKTHISPECKER:: VJ's in the main room.

Sound Junkee - Dirty Tachyon

Music video created at the ::CHECKTHISPECKER:: VJ Workshop for Bands, hosted at Derby QUAD and part of Gleam, Derby's new festival of light.

This workshop was ideal for local bands and musicians; where we helped in the creation of graphic, illustrated, animated, photographic and video content.

At the end of the session the artists then mixed the visuals 'live' against their own music using Modul8 and their newly acquired VJ skills.

The video was finalised by minimal editing to combine the audio and visual tracks and the addition of simple end credits.
